The beginning

So the start of our trip was the movers coming to pack everything up.  They arrived on Monday April 18th.  THey picked up our first shippment of 1000 pounds.  It took all morning.  Then after they left we took the toyota to get shipped.  The real moving started on Thursday.  thye arrived early and at the end of the day they had loaded two crates and some fo the big stuff including our couch.  So that left the boys to sit on the crib mattress.  The kids were really well behaved.  Collin and i got really sicka nd ended up at the ER saturday night so he slept most of the time while the packers where there.  Even through all the tape noise they made when sealing the boxes.

The huge park on Patrick Henry Village (PHV)

So we live on a section of the base called PHV.  It is made mostly of houses, the commisary, many little play grounds, the Middle school, the elementary, the libary, a bowling alley, thrift store, post office, a chaple, guest housing, and other things.  The biggest park we found was just across the street by our hotel.  the kids have a blast.  Here are pictures from our second trip to the park since I left the camera at home the first time.

Disneyland Trip

So before we took our long plane ride across the ocean we took a trip to Disneyland.  We went with Uncle Charlie and Aunt Julie and the kids had a blast.  There are way to many to post them all but here just a few. We enjoyed spending three days with Brandon and Julie and really liked the idea of jumping the line becauce Uncle Charlie was"broken".

Changes

So a lot has Changed in the last month and a half. The Army packed up all of your belongings and we moved across the Ocean. I say we moved over the Atlantic but you could also say the Pacific so I will leave that up to you. First we went to visit Family and "the happiest place on Earth". We spent about a week at my parents in Salt Lake, then drove down and went to Disneyland with Brandon and Julie, Then flew up to Seattle and then on to Germany.
The Kids had a hard time adjusting once we got to Germany. The first day we got here it was noon and we still had a bus ride to Base. So by the time we arrived it was dinner time and the kids were so concerned we didn't get Lunch they didn't understand the time change. For two nights they woke up at 2am and were awake for about 2 hours before falling back to sleep.
We arrived on Monday, May 9th and by Tuesday afternoon we had keys to our 4 bedroom 1 3/4 bath. The whole house is either tile, lineolum, or hardwood floor.   So just about everyother day I am having to clean the floor.  So we moved in and two and a half weeks later our first shipment arrived.  We were lucky enough to get our car On Thursday May 26th, two and a half weeks early.  So I guess that makes up for the first shipment being late.

We have been to Church twice already and so far I am lovign the ward.  Everyone is very friendly and willing to help out.

The next postes will be about the individual events we took on our way here.  the Visit to Oma and Opa's, and our trip to disneyland.

5 Years old

Ethan's birthday was yesturday and he had a blast. He played race cars with Dad, went to school and opened his presents. He also got to talk to many birthday well wishers on the phone. Here are a few of the pics I took. I always make Brownies because we eat them all instead of having to throw out almost a whole cake.

His grow doggie

His wall light saber

His mini pippsqueak

( probably the most loved of all his presents)

Heather made these cute shirts for my kids and I am just now getting them posted on here. Better late than never.
Collin asks to wear his every time I wash it so about once a week he asks for his "submarine" shirt.

Ethan's shirt fits him perfectly. He is always amazing me by how much he knows, in all areas.

And Kit's shirt is perfect. Not only does she love the color but she is "lovely" as well.

Individual Blogs

I have decided instead of printing pictures to put in scrapbooks I would just blog about it. I have set up blogs for each child. If you look over to the side of this blog you will find a picture of each child, Cllick on that picture and you will be taken to their blog. Then farther down there will be a link to their blog also, This one shows what the title of the last blog was and the date that way you can see at a glance what I have done for each child.
MY GOAL IS TO DO AT LEAST ONE POST PER CHILD EACH SUNDAY!!!
So here is to keeping that goal.
