Here is a sample of the pictures we had taken on Saturday. The kids were really good and it went fast.

Our Normal Boy

So we went to the Doctor yeasterady and found out that there was nothing to worry about. No nerve damage, and he has no gentetic defect his his palate. Not sure if they tested anywhere else but I am not going to ask. So for now we get to have alot of Speech therapy and work really hard to get him ready for school in two years.

Preschool

After waiting for about for four months, Kit will start preschool next week. She will go three times a week from 830 to 1130. She is excited and so am i this way she will make new friends and will learn how to interact with kids her own age for when school starts next year.

MRI

Ethan was a trooper today. We had the MRI this morning and it went great. he had a little disorentation when he woke up but he was back to old self after lunch. We fine out the results on March 9th at 10 am.

Ethan Update

Ethan saw the neurologist today and we didn't really find out anything new just more questions. He has a white spot on the left side of his head in the back which I found out was caused by nerve damage. Not sure what nerve was damaged, so he has to have a MRI on the 24Th at 8 am. He also had a genetics test today for his palate, the back of his mouth that lifts up when you talk, to see if its a genetic problem or if its lack of muscles. He also has to see the optometry to look behind his eyes for eye problems, because of his lack of coordination. He has a speech therapy appointment with the school district on March 26Th and then for private therapy on April 1st. So we have a lot going on and looking forward to getting some answers

Childhood Apraxia of Speech

Ethan went to see a speech therapist today and we found out why he doesn't pronounce things correctly. the speech therapist said that he has a hard time getting his tongue to do what it should. She is not sure if it is because his tongue muscles are to weak or if the brain signals are getting to his tongue. She wants us to go see a neurologist to find out if the nervous system is working correctly. She still wants us to go have a hearing test done so that will be at the end of February. so until we find out more this is what we know. You can see more about Apraxia at the website:

Here is an update, Ethan goes to see the neurologist on Monday February 9th and then the school speech therapist on March 26th. His hearing test is scheduled for February 29th.

What a coincidence

On January 1st we were coming home from Chuck E cheese and the kids didn't want to buckle up. So we told them that if they didn't Jared and I could get into trouble and the police could take us to jail. So as we were going through the entrance to the base we were chosen for a random vehicle check. and Kitrina thought that we had gotten in trouble and that we were going to jail. Which of course we weren't but she started to cry. So a few days Ago she came into my room in the morning and said she had had a bad dream and I asked what is was and she said she been put in jail. So what a strange coincidence.

Potty trained

Ethan is now offically a big boy, he has gone two days with out any accidents. We did errands yesterday and he wore underware and didn't have an accident, and then again at church no accidents. we are still wearing pull ups at night and for nap but so far they have been dry. With Kit I waited until she woke up at night and told me she had to go and that was when I new she was ready for no pull ups at night.

SNOW AGAIN!!!!

As you all know it snowed this last week, well once again it is going to snow this next week. They have cancelled Church because there is a big snow Storm on it way and Washington does not own snow plows. I know this because there is still snow on the ground from the last snow storms we have received. And here I thought I was going to get away from the snow, so much for that.
I guess it is a good thing I got the kids Christmas shopping done since the roads are terrible. I didn't get Jared's but he understands and doesn't want me out in this mess anyway and he doesn't want to drive either. So once again we will be stuck in our house until it warms up and the snow melts from the roads.
The only good thing about Washington and snow is that everyone goes slow and takes thier time so there are very few accidents onthe road. We eventured out a few night ago and got stuck in traffice becuase it started to snow and everyone took thier time and was not in a hurry.
Hopefully this storm will not be as big as they say and it will warm up soon and we can go outside once more.

It has snowed on and off since Sunday afternoon. The kids wanted to play in the snow so bad we made them get all dressed for the winter. Kit had to wear pants, which was no easy to get her to wear. They had to put on thier Coats, hat, gloves or mittens and in kits Place her boots, the boys don't have boots yet. Here are some pictures of the kids playing in the snow.THe first night we played in the snow the kids were trying to throw snow balls, the snow wouldn't make snow balls so they would get a hand full and try and brush it off on my pant. I got a video of Ethan trying to do this to me it is so cute.

Jared was trying to get a picture of her before we went off to church. But as you can see she was being a stinker. And then when he wouldn't give up she gave in and let him take pictures but only with funny faces. She does this every time we want to take one but if she wabts it taken she has no problem with it.
After church she let us take some in front of the tree she helped decorate. We broke down and bought a fake tree this year. Jared decided he didn't want the hassel of trying to find a tree every year and then this way if he is every away at christmas time again I won't have to go find something, we will already have it.

Here are some Video's of the house as it looks on a daily basis. you have to try and imagine it with out the Christmas decorations. Jared took a video of it but it wouldn't upload, it might be to big so here are some small videos of the place. The first one is of the small half bath that is just as you walk in the door. My mother purchased some berry decorations for my brothers wedding and I hung them over the window and on either side of the toilet, so that made the room's main color red. Hopefully I can down load more than one but if not they will be in this order.

The next one is of the big closet that is right as you walk in also. I have the geo trax train and my little people in their along with my other crafts I use on a regular basis or hope to.

Then you get the living area. It is an open floor plan. With hardwood floors and a tile entry. The kitchen has an island which we purchased barstools for which is where we eat just about every meal. since that is where the booster seats are. I enjoy having the area open becuase then I can be doing things and see what the kids are up to. The only bad thing is that it is very slippery, and the furniture will not stay in it's place.

The last one is of the Laundry room. It is very small but I enjoy my new washer and dryer. they are the best things. I can wait and do laundry every other week, and it is very quite. Jared says since they cost a bit of money, which I would never have spent, that I have to keep them forever even if they break down then I have to keep the pieces. He is a funny guy sometimes.

It has been more than a month since I posted anything and we have had a lot of changes. We have moved to Washington state and are now stationed at Fort Lewis. Jared is working For the 62nd Medical unit in the computers department not sure of the exact company or unit but that is what I remember. He has a regular schedule he works from like 9-5. the kids Love to see him at Breakfast after Pt and at lunch time when he comes home. We are enjoying our home. It has three bedrooms and 2 and a half baths. the bottom floor has hardwood floor in the living room and dinning room. We have almost put all of the boxes away and have almost totally moved in. the Master bedroom is not totally put together since you can really do anything in there unless the kids are a sleep and the only time they are all asleep is at night. the kids really love their rooms and are having fun playing in them. We have are on backyard it is not fenced in and is really small, not even the swing set my parents had would fit since it slops in the center for drainage since it rains a lot. Kitrina has the biggest room upstiars since I couldn't figure out how to put two beds in her room since she has the biggest window and it covers almost the eniter wall. We have bought a few thigns for the house the kitchen has an island so we bought bar stools, a TV stand for Jareds Big TV, and night stands for our room.

1st Horse Ride

On Monday after the wedding luncheon My dad took the kids over the petting zoo and they got to ride on the horses that they had there. Ethan looks so comfortable on the horse. If you look closely you can see he had a bandana around his neck, it is a tourqize color.

One Year Old

Collin turned One on Sunday September 7th. We had most of My family here in town so they wanted to have a party for him. So he will have two one year old parties since he will have one when his Daddy comes home from being in Korea for a year. He opened all of his presents, only because his Aunt Lauren was smart and put two presents in bags with paper showing so he wanted the paper so he took them out and thats when he found his gifts. Not that he got to paly with them since his brother and sister wanted to have a turn. His favorite present is the Doggy he gets to pull around the house with him (It came from Uncle Bob and Aunt Lauren)

What a Bite!!

Ethan is liked by the mosquitoes. On friday September 6th he got bitten on the back of the ear twice. It grew to twice it's size. I tried everything to get it to go down but what really worked was some Benadrly he took when he went to sleep.

What a Cute Flower Girl and Ring Bearer

My Brother got married Monday September 8th. Kit was a flower girl and Ethan was the ring bearer. Ethan walked down the aisle during the Practice run but when it came time to do the real thing he wouldn't so I had to walk with him, and since Collin wouldn't sit with my sister Lauren he also got to walk down the aisle.
